How Many Hinges do I need?
As a general rule, for every 30” (762 mm) of the door height, there should be one hinge. Most doors are roughly 90” tall and have three hinges. For doors with a width greater than 37” (940 mm) to 48” (122 mm), an extra hinge could be used for additional strength. The extra hinge helps support the additional weight and tension applied to the frame created by the wider door width.
Note: The load capacity mentioned above refers to the use of 2 hinges per door leaf (36 x 83 inches).

A door hinge is a simple mechanical hardware piece used to connect a door slab to the wall, allowing it to open and close on a fixed axis. Most door hinge applications limit the opening to a certain motion within a 360° arc angle. The Anselmi Concealed Interior Door Hinge limits the opening motion up to 180° arc angle.
